Ginger Hansen, DDS
Dr. Ginger Hansen earned her bachelor’s degree in psychobiology from the University of California Riverside in 1975. She also earned her DDS at the University of Southern California School of Dentistry in 1979 and served her general practice residency at Veterans Administration Hospital in Portland, Oregon, from 1979 to 1980. She takes every opportunity to increase her knowledge base by pursuing continuing education opportunities each year. She has been practicing dentistry in our area since 1985 and is a member of the American Dental Association®, the California Dental Association, the San Diego County Dental Society and the Seattle Study Club®. She is certified in levels One and Two in Six Month Smiles®, and in dental implants, she is certified in Biomet, Zimmer Dental and the VISTA technique.
Dr. Hansen’s goal as a dentist is to provide excellent dental care at a reasonable fee with a gentle touch. She wants to make sure that her patients have healthy mouths and that they get the smiles that they want and deserve.
Dr. Hansen is a member of the Lions Club and is a Melvin Jones Fellow with the Lions. She is also a member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks and a recipient of a Certificate of Recognition for Outstanding Community Service from the 74th Assembly District of the State of California.
Dr. Hansen has one daughter, Madison. When she is not at work, she enjoys dancing, reading, hiking, woodworking, movies, theater, music, sewing, crocheting, travel and ham radio.
Meet Our Team
Sofia – Registered Dental Hygienist
Sofia has been with us since 2003. She enjoys the family feel at our office and all of the fun we have. She does her best to provide preventive dental care and educate patients on proper oral hygiene.
Sofia has been married to her husband since 1998, and they have two amazing daughters. She is also very crafty and likes history, traveling, camping and spending time with family and friends.
Katie – Dental Assistant
Although Katie has been working with Dr. Hansen since 2019, she was a patient throughout her childhood and teenage years. She earned her dental assisting certificate from Kaplan College in 2013 and received her license in 2014. She loves the family atmosphere at our office and being able to work next to Dr. Hansen, who made such an impression on her that she become a dental assistant. Katie makes sure that she is always one step ahead, since being prepared and thorough makes each visit a smooth one for the patient. She appreciates the time she gets to spend with our clients. And she is also a Star Wars fan!
Angelica – Dental Assistant
Angelica joined our team in 2021. She graduated summa cum laude from San Diego State University and brings a strong passion for patient care and office support to her role. With a genuine desire to help patients feel at ease, Angelica excels at creating a welcoming environment for those who may feel anxious about dental visits. Her commitment to supporting both patients and her team helps ensure the office runs smoothly each day.
Having been a lifelong patient of Dr. Hansen, Angelica understands firsthand the value of compassionate, skilled dental care. Her trust in the practice spans generations, with her entire family — from her younger brother to her grandfather — relying on Dr. Hansen for their dental health. Now part of the team herself, Angelica feels honored to contribute to a community-oriented practice that has played such an important role in her life.
Outside of the office, Angelica is the oldest of four siblings and enjoys expressing her creativity through writing, drawing and playing Dungeons and Dragons.
Andrea – Office Manager | Front Desk | Marketing Director
With 25 years of experience in the dental field, Andrea is a valuable member of our team and has been a part of Vista Dental Artz since 2005. She considers herself a dental geek, since she loves everything about dentistry and helping our patients. She has been called the “mommy” of our office since she keeps everyone smiling and laughing and our team is like her second family.
Andrea is a single mom with two beautiful kids and loves spending “mommy time” with them.
Dania – Insurance Coordinator
Dania has been a valued member of our practice since 2022. She completed her education through the Dental Assisting program at Palomar College and brings precision and care to her role. Responsible for processing all insurance claims, Dania helps patients navigate their benefits with ease while ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Her attention to detail and strong work ethic make her a vital part of the front office team. She enjoys the supportive environment and the flexibility that her office hours provide.
Outside of work, Dania is a dedicated mother to her young son. Together, they enjoy collecting and building LEGO figures!
Stacy – Scheduling Coordinator
Stacy rejoined our practice in May of 2024. She is passionate about contributing to a team that is deeply committed to providing the best dental experience and prioritizing patients’ overall wellbeing. Stacy plays a key role in creating a welcoming atmosphere, offering warm and friendly service to every patient she assists. She hopes to help each person understand the vital connection between excellent oral hygiene and whole-body health.
Outside of the office, Stacy enjoys a variety of fulfilling activities. She regularly attends dance classes, spends time gardening, loves going to the movies and finds joy in traveling. She is also an active member of her Catholic faith community.
Nancy – Scheduling Coordinator
Nancy has been a valued part of our practice since June 2021. She completed her education through the Dental Assisting and Registered Dental Assisting program at UEI College. With a focus on keeping the schedule full and organized, Nancy plays a key role in supporting the team and ensuring patients have a smooth and timely experience. She enjoys being part of a collaborative and friendly work environment, and her positive attitude helps maintain the flow of each day.
Outside of work, Nancy stays busy with her family, which includes her husband Kelvin and their three children. Most of her free time is spent on the playground, embracing the energy and joy of family life.
